Built by your inspector, not rented

The Coastal Shield Platform

Most inspectors rent the same reporting software and their reports all look alike. Ours is custom‑built, in‑house, for one inspector's standards — and it does things no rented template can. Everything below is from our live sample report; click through and try it yourself.

And to be clear about the order of things: we are a home inspection company first. The platform is not a separate product — it is how your inspection is delivered, and how it keeps caring for your home long after escrow closes.

The Property Defect Map

Every material and major finding is placed on a drawing of your home — roof to foundation, garage included. Tap any marker and the report jumps to the full finding, with photos, the trade to call, the repair cost range, and how urgent it is.

No 200‑page data dump. You see where the problems live before you read a single page.

Every appliance, on the record

Equipment Inventory & Federal Recall Check

We photograph the data plate of every major appliance and system — furnace, water heater, range, dishwasher — and record the brand, model, serial number, age, and expected remaining service life.

Then we check them against the official U.S. CPSC federal recall database. If a unit in your new home has been recalled, it's in your report. We've never met another inspection that does this.

Plain English, Then a Repair List That Builds Itself

Every finding tells you what we saw, why it matters, which trade fixes it, and how urgent it is — ending in a bottom line written the way we'd say it to you on the driveway.

Then the part agents love: tap Add to Repair Request on any finding and the platform assembles a clean, shareable repair list for the negotiation. No retyping findings into an addendum at 9pm.

“What really set Louis apart was everything that happened after the inspection … It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about helping their clients beyond the inspection itself.”
